Does this mean I get 22 presents?

I am turning 22 in less than a month. Whoopee! Actually considering I have a project and a midterm due directly after my birthday, I'm not too excited. However, I do like presents so I'm compiling my wishlist.

1. Floppy hat from American Apparel $40
The only question is whether to get the black or the grey. The black is probably more practical but the grey is more unexpected.

2. YSL 'Y-mail' zip wallet $545
Saks has it in navy and it's pure love.

3. Rebecca Minkoff /Studded Morning After Mini' $635
I've been a fan of Rebecca Minkoff's Morning after/morning after mini bags for awhile. Recently, while checking out her website, I saw glimpses of this beautiful studded creation. Unfortuantely it's not for sale on her website and the only place I could find it is for pre-order at blueheavenboutique.com.

4. Frye 'Liz' ankle boot $252
I have been searching for the perfect black ankle boots. These are them. They hit the perfect note between casual and dressy and since they're by Frye you know that the materials are quality.

Don't worry, there will be more.

Rain, rain, go away...

Last night it rained for probably only the third or fourth time of this year. On the one hand, I'm glad because we need this drought to end. On the other, I hate wet feet! Furthermore there is a dearth of waterproof yet still fashionable footwear. UGGs are mildly waterproof but they won't hold you over in a downpour. As for my J. Crew yellow rainboots with blue whales, they're cute until you're caught outside when it's not raining. Then you just look like a dimwit. Thus, I am considering shelling out the dough for these babies, the Sperry Top-Sider Sadie Tall Boot. They have a wedge heel, cute fold over top and best of all, they don't scream rainboot. I like the basic black but it also comes in winter white and black with a navy blue top.

Ch-ch-changes!

I've been a terrible blogger recently. The new year brought new challenges and this blog fell by the wayside. However, I refuse to let it die so with a new moniker to set it off I am going to put more effort into making this blog grow.

First up on the order of business is this picture from The Sartorialist.

Their coats are so utterly chic that I immediately went scouring the web for something akin to them. Most of the drop-waist coats I found were in the $500 range, which is so not going to happen at this point. Luckily, Express has one that is passable and it's on sale. Considering that I already have a black winter coat, I'm hesitant but I would so love to recreate this look.
